The 1975's Matty Healy marries Gabbriette Bechtel

The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has married model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel in an intimate ceremony held on July 18 at Castillo del Lago in Los Angeles, according to multiple international reports.

Photos and videos from the wedding quickly spread online, showing the couple sharing a kiss at the altar. Healy wore a classic black tuxedo, while Gabbriette walked down the aisle in a white bridal gown with a traditional veil and half-up hairstyle.

Representatives for the couple confirmed the marriage to People, saying the ceremony was attended by family and close friends.

Guests reportedly included Charli XCX and her husband George Daniel—Healy's bandmate in The 1975—as well as Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, Devon Lee Carlson and fiancé Duke Nicholson, Sydney Lynn Carlson, Tyrell Hampton, Alex O'Connor, and Quenlin Blackwell.

Reports also said Healy performed alongside fellow musicians during the wedding reception.

The couple announced their engagement in June 2024 after Gabbriette revealed her distinctive black diamond engagement ring on social media. Healy's mother, television personality Denise Welch, later confirmed that the proposal had taken place weeks before the public announcement.

The wedding comes just weeks after the marriage of Healy's former rumored partner, Taylor Swift, to NFL star Travis Kelce.

Healy and Swift were briefly linked in 2024, with fans speculating that their relationship inspired "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" from The Tortured Poets Department, though Swift has never confirmed the song's inspiration.
