An individual using the alias "Rizal" was among the 13 arrested after authorities seized over P4.5 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal, on July 22, police said.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the operation was conducted at the house of alias "Madam" in Barangay Sto. Niño, where the other suspects, including two women, were allegedly caught using illegal drugs.
The arrested individuals were identified by their aliases as "Madam," 34; "Joan," 31; "Eva," 24; "Orlan," 61; "Noer," 50; "Sef," 46; "Raffy," 38; "Inag," 36; "Allan," 35; "Rizal," 35; "CJ," 27; "Onyok," 27; and "Jerome," 25.
Authorities recovered 661.98 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P4,501,464, along with a sling bag, two elongated aluminum foil strips used as runways, two aluminum foil tooters, and three lighters.
Police Col. Eleazar R. Barber Jr., Rizal PPO provincial director, vowed to continue intensifying the Rizal PPO's campaign against illegal drugs to ensure public safety.
"This successful operation is proof of our unwavering efforts to curb illegal drugs and keep our communities safe. We will continue to intensify our campaign against those involved in the illegal drug trade in coordination with our partner agencies and the public,” he said.
The suspects are now in the custody of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station (MPS) and will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
