Pusher yields P1.47-M shabu, kush in Parañaque buy-bust

Police arrested a suspected drug peddler in Parañaque City after seizing nearly P1.5 million worth of shabu and kush in a buy‑bust operation on Friday, July 24.

Parañaque City Police chief Col. Nicolas Pinon said the suspect, Michael, 30, was nabbed around 3:25 a.m. in a parking lot on Doña Soledad Avenue in Barangay Don Bosco.

Pinon said that operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted an entrapment operation against Michael who was included in the drug watchlist.

Police said an undercover operative bought shabu from the suspect, leading to his arrest.

Authorities seized from the suspect approximately 210 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,428,000 and 30 grams of suspected marijuana kush worth P45,000.

Police also recovered the marked money used in the operation, boodle money, a sling bag, a cellular phone, and other pieces of evidence.

The suspect was detained at the police custodial facility and was charged for violating of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, Southern Police District director, said the operation highlights the district's continuing crackdown on illegal drug activities in Southern Metro Manila.
