P14-M pilfered gas recovered in Laguna

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – Police apprehended nine suspected oil pilferers here on Thursday morning.
The suspects were caught in the act of transferring petroleum products from tanker trucks to plastic containers in an abandoned gasoline station at about 4:35 a.m.
Recovered from them were three tanker trucks loaded with 31,000 liters of gasoline, diesel, and ethanol with a total estimated value of P14.5 million, seven canister gallons, a 40-meter chemical hose, a 12-gauge shotgun, and 20 bullets.
The suspects are in the custody of the police and face appropriate cases.
Fugitive
CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 55-year-old man wanted for murder was arrested after 22 years in hiding on Thursday afternoon in Barangay Mangilag Norte, this town.
Police Col. Romulo Albacea, Quezon police director, identified the suspect as Pederito.
The suspect was apprehended on a warrant issued by a Laguna court with no bail recommended.
