Johnny Depp is making his biggest Hollywood comeback yet.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for "Ebenezer," marking Depp's first major studio film since his highly publicized 2022 defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
While the actor has appeared in a handful of international productions in recent years, "Ebenezer" is widely seen as his return to a mainstream Hollywood release.
Directed by Ti West, the film is a dark reimagining of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol," with Depp taking on the iconic role of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge.
Based on the trailer, the actor appears right at home as the bitter old man whose life is transformed by supernatural visitors.
The cast also includes Ian McKellen, Rupert Grint, and Daisy Ridley.
The screenplay, adapted from Dickens' novel, was written by Nathaniel Halpern.
"Ebenezer" is scheduled to open in theaters this November.
