Fundador is commemorating Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup championship with the release of Edición Campeones del Mundo 2026, a limited-edition bottle honoring the country’s victory while marking a milestone in the brandy maker’s nearly 300-year history.
The commemorative release celebrates Spain’s World Cup triumph over defending champion Argentina, a victory the company described as the rise of a new generation of Spanish football talent and another defining moment for the country on the international stage.
Fundador said the launch also coincides with the maturation of a carefully selected collection of aged brandies that have spent years aging in the company’s historic sherry bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera under the traditional Solera system.
“Great achievements are built over time, with dedication, discipline, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence,” said Angel Piña, chief commercial and marketing officer of Bodegas Fundador in a press statement.
“For Fundador, 2026 is a truly exceptional year. It is the year Spain lifts football’s greatest prize, and it is also the year some of our finest brandies reach their optimal maturity after years of careful aging in our historic sherry bodegas. Edición Campeones del Mundo 2026 is our tribute to these two extraordinary milestones, celebrating Spain’s enduring spirit, craftsmanship, and pursuit of excellence,” he said.
According to the company, the limited-edition release reflects values shared by Spain’s football success and Fundador’s heritage, including perseverance, authenticity, craftsmanship, and excellence.
Founded in 1730, Fundador is recognized as the creator of Spain’s first brandy. The company has built its reputation on the traditional Solera aging method and continues to produce brandies from its facilities in Jerez de la Frontera.
The Edición Campeones del Mundo 2026 collection will be available in Spain and through global online stores, the company said.
