The “Pasig Handa” campaign took center stage at the Pasig City Disaster Resilience Summit 2026 on Monday, July 21, rallying communities and agencies to step up disaster preparedness.

The event, hosted at the Christ’s Commission Fellowship Center Main (CCF) in Ortigas East, was part of the city’s observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.

It was organized by the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) in partnership with national government agencies, disaster response organizations, and the CCF Center Main.

Mayor Vico Sotto attended the summit along with Office of Civil Defense Undersecretary Harold Cabreros, OCD Regional Director George Keyser, Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region Director Maria Lourdes Agustin, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III.

Under the “Pasig Handa” campaign, the city government brought together representatives from national agencies, barangays, private groups, civil society organizations, volunteer groups, and academic institutions involved in disaster risk reduction and management.

The city government said the campaign aims to promote collective action in building safer, better prepared, and more resilient communities.

The summit featured discussions on multi sector coordination, community based disaster risk reduction, family preparedness, and the protection of pets during calamities.

Participants also joined the Pledge of Commitment to Resilience to affirm their support for efforts to improve disaster preparedness in the city.

A Disaster Resilience Expo was likewise held, showcasing programs, technologies, equipment, and services from government agencies, emergency response groups, humanitarian organizations, academic institutions, and private groups.
