Officials, business leaders from Oman, Philippines to meet for high-level forum

Senior government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders from Oman and the Philippines will meet in a high-level forum in Manila this weekend.
The Oman-Philippines 3rd Strategic Majlis will be held in Makati City on Sunday, July 26.
According to the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Manila, the high-level meeting aims to deepen bilateral cooperation and unlock new opportunities for trade, investment, and strategic collaboration.
It will be graced by Oman Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro, the embassy added.
Both leaders are expected to underscore both governments' strong commitment to advancing bilateral relations and fostering meaningful partnerships.
The embassy further said that the "landmark gathering will spotlight priority sectors including investment and trade, tourism, technology, logistics and connectivity, fisheries, and agriculture."
"It will serve as a dynamic platform to strengthen dialogue, advance strategic cooperation, and identify practical areas for partnership between Oman and the Philippines," the embassy said.
Among the key objectives of the Strategic Majlis are enhancing economic ties by exploring avenues to expand bilateral trade, attract investment, and promote joint ventures in priority industries; fostering diplomatic relations by reaffirming both countries' commitment to constructive dialogue, peace, stability, and shared regional and international interests; and driving innovation and collaboration.
"The Oman-Philippines Strategic Majlis underscores the shared vision of both nations to build stronger economic and diplomatic bridges, paving the way for sustainable growth and long-term cooperation," the embassy said.
