This collection is a testament that denim will never go out of style

There are only a handful of things in fashion that have truly stood the test of time, and denim is undoubtedly one of them. Over the decades, it has evolved from durable workwear into one of the most essential and versatile staples in every wardrobe.
As we go through this period of "in-between" weather, spotlighting denim becomes a natural choice for global retailer H&M. Its latest capsule collection, dubbed New Season Denim, presents the beloved fabric in a variety of silhouettes designed for Southeast Asia's unpredictable climate.
The Asia-exclusive line is equal parts practical and stylish, offering a fresh perspective on one of fashion's most enduring wardrobe staples. Last July 15, at H&M's showroom in Makati City, Manila Bulletin Lifestyle got a closer look at the collection and rediscovered why denim continues to stand the test of time.
Versatility
Denim works across virtually every style, from casual to smart-casual. Take, for example, the collection's Belt-Denim Dress, which can be elevated with statement jewelry and heels for a refined look, or its Denim Paper Bag Skirt, which pairs effortlessly with sandals for a laid-back daytime ensemble or sneakers for a more relaxed, everyday outfit.
Constant reinvention
Fashion trends come and go, but denim evolves with them. Every era has its signature silhouette, and this collection reflects that evolution through modern interpretations such as culottes and pull-on denim pants. These contemporary styles keep the fabric fresh and relevant while maintaining its timeless appeal across generations.
