Around 50 senior citizens in Sta. Mesa, Manila, were treated to free haircuts and massages through a community service program organized by the Manila Manpower Development Center (MMDC).
The activity took place at the Baltao Covered Court in BA Building, Barangay 600, where 50 senior citizens received free massages and another 50 were given haircuts.
The initiative is part of the city government’s efforts to bring basic services closer to Manila residents, particularly senior citizens.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso also thanked MMDC’s newly graduated trainees who volunteered their time and skills to provide free services to residents as part of their community service.
The activity highlights the MMDC graduates’ efforts to put their newly acquired skills to use while giving back to the community.
