‎P1,000 marijuana recovered from Bacolod high school student

BACOLOD CITY - Another 17-year-old high school student is being investigated after school personnel recovered P1,000 worth of suspected marijuana during a routine inspection in a public high school here on Wednesday, July 22.
‎‎Police Capt. Andy Ofalia, head of Police Station 5, said the school guard recovered three sachets of suspected marijuana from the student's belt bag at the entrance gate. Also recovered were a ceramic pipe, a pair of scissors, and a lighter.
‎The student was immediately brought to the principal's office until he was taken by authorities to the Social Development Center (SDC) for custody.
‎Ofalia said the recovered suspected illegal drugs were subjected to a laboratory test. ‎
‎He added the student's aunt has coordinated with authorities, while investigation is ongoing to determine how he was able to possess the contraband.
‎Ofalia said the information they could release for now is limited because the involved is a minor, and that they are awaiting the result of the laboratory test.
‎On Monday, July 20, suspected shabu was recovered from a 17-year-old Grade 9 student in a public high school. It later turned out negative for shabu.
