Gunman, child abuse suspect nabbed in Muntinlupa, Taguig

Police carried out consecutive anti‑crime operations, arresting a gun‑toting man in Muntinlupa on July 22 and a child abuse suspect in Taguig a day earlier.
In Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa, police collared alias Elmer, 28, in Purok 4, PNR Site after a resident tipped them off about a man roaming the area with a firearm.
Responding officers intercepted the suspect and recovered a .45-caliber pistol with a defaced serial number, a magazine, and two live rounds.
He faces charges under Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, before the Muntinlupa City Prosecutor’s Office.
In Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig, the Southern Police District’s District Special Operations Unit arrested alias Crisanto, 31, on July 21.
He is charged with acts of lasciviousness under Republic Act 7610, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Police served a warrant of arrest issued July 20 by Taguig Family Court Branch 15 Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro, with bail set at P180,000.
