Bong Go leads Pulse Asia's 2028 vice-presidential preference survey

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go emerged as the leading choice for vice president in the May 2028 elections, although no candidate secured majority support in the latest Pulse Asia Research survey released on Wednesday, July 22.
Go was preferred by 27 percent of Filipino adults in a seven-way race, followed by Senator Robin Padilla with 21 percent, according to the survey conducted from June 28 to July 3, and July 6.
Former Senator Grace Poe and Senator Paolo Benigno Aquino IV each received 14 percent, while Senator Erwin Tulfo got 9 percent.
Senator Francis Pangilinan received 4 percent, while Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager Nicolas D. Torre III registered 0.5 percent.
Five percent of respondents said they would not vote for any of the candidates, 3 percent were undecided, and 1 percent refused to state their preference.
Go posted his strongest support in Mindanao, where 47 percent of respondents preferred him, followed by the Visayas at 30 percent and Class ABC at 31 percent.
In Metro Manila, Aquino led with 23 percent, followed by Go at 21 percent.
In the rest of Luzon, Poe led with 19 percent, followed by Go and Padilla at 17 percent each and Aquino at 16 percent.
In Class D, Go led Padilla, 26 percent to 21 percent, while Padilla was ahead of Go in Class E, 35 percent to 27 percent.
Pulse Asia's nationwide survey was based on face-to-face interviews with 2,400 representative adults aged 18 and above. It has a ±2 percentage point error margin at the 95% confidence level.
The survey's estimates for Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao have a ±4 percentage point error margin at the same confidence level.
Pulse Asia Research said its ”Ulat ng Bayan” surveys are conducted independently, without any party singularly commissioning the research effort.
It also said no religious, political, economic, or partisan group influenced any of the survey processes.
