A year without Ozzy Osbourne: Remembering the Prince of Darkness

Sharon and Kelly Osbourne honored Ozzy Osbourne on the first anniversary of his passing, reflecting on the Black Sabbath legend’s humor, generosity, and enduring impact on music.
In an interview with BBC Birmingham, Sharon remembered Ozzy as "funny, charismatic and genuine," saying he always stayed true to himself.
Sharon also thanked fans for their support after Ozzy died at 76, just weeks after Black Sabbath’s farewell concert at Villa Park.
She said the family would continue supporting charities, including Parkinson’s research, in his memory. She also hopes Ozzy Day will become an annual celebration in his hometown.

Meanwhile, Kelly posted an emotional message on Instagram, describing the profound impact of losing her father.
She wrote that grief had changed her forever, saying some losses "divide your life into two people - the one you were before and the one left behind."
Kelly posted another tribute saying she still feels her father's presence in everyday moments but misses the comfort of being able to hug him.
She described Ozzy as her protector, best friend, and greatest teacher, saying she misses him every day.
Ozzy died on 22 July 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
As one of the pioneers of heavy metal, he leaves behind a musical legacy that continues to inspire fans around the world.
