After the whirlwind ending of "No Way Home", Tom Holland takes on another challenge as he navigates the life of Peter Parker in his latest film, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

During the film’s virtual press conference, Tom shared why Peter’s situation may resonate with viewers, particularly the younger generation.

"I think you really meet Peter Parker at the beginning of the darkest chapter of his life. You know, to me, the thing I love the most about the film is that it really represents, or it's a cautionary tale for, the dangers of living a life alone and not having a community, not having friends," Tom shared.

He continued: ''A lesson that he learned from Andrew's [Garfield] character in the previous movie is that, you know, sometimes the bravest thing that you can do is ask for help. And he is actively ignoring that advice. And it is having a profound effect on his life as a human being."

As the trailer shows Spider-Man thriving as New York’s beloved hero, Tom highlighted how the film also explores Peter’s isolation from the people who once knew him behind the mask.

"We're probably seeing the most truthful version of what Spider-Man means to New York City at the beginning of this movie. And the smashing of those two worlds is such a fun thing for us to play with. You know, standing on the world stage and beaming and doing all of this amazing stuff, then coming home to a pretty grubby New York apartment and, you know, nursing a headache to go to sleep, especially the scenes when we're watching them on Instagram. Yeah. It's just so true to what young people are going through on a daily basis," Tom shared.

Navigating life as Peter, Tom said that his character felt "so relatable."

"I really kind of dove into this new idea because it just felt so relatable, so prevalent with what's happening in the world. And I love telling a movie on this scale that is something that I really think will resonate with young people," he said.

Meanwhile, Tom's real-life wife Zendaya and Filipino-American actor Jacob Batalon shared what their characters will face in the new film.

"Ned and MJ live really great lives, but I think there’s also like that sort of veil—they do feel like something’s kind of missing. And I think, for Ned, the Spidey tracker thing is kind of his way of finding that missing link between them and Spider-Man," Jacob said, referring to his and Zendaya’s respective characters.

As for Zendaya, the actress mentioned how Peter and MJ's personalities were somehow switched, but it still felt like a connection.

"Now that he’s alone, he’s kind of adopted that negativity and she’s adopted his positivity without even knowing it. So there’s clearly something still there," Zendaya said.

Looking back on their journey as Peter, MJ and Ned, Jacob shared how grateful he is to be part of the film.

"It’s very beautiful to really be a part of this after 10 years,” he said. “It’s so great—even meeting the fans who grew up with us. It’s just so beautiful. It really is a great time.”

Tom, for his part, reflected, “My passion and love for these movies has only grown with every time I’ve been lucky enough to don the suit.”

“Our relationship as three young kids that our lives all changed on the same day. And to go through that with these guys, I couldn’t be more grateful,” he continued.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is set to premiere in Philippine theaters on July 29.
