Police arrested a suspect in the killing of a woman on Sunday, July 19, in Paniqui, Tarlac.
The Tarlac Police Provincial Office said the victim's body was found at around 5:20 a.m. in Barangay Abogado.
Police conducted a follow-up investigation and arrested the 30-year-old suspect at about 5:30 p.m. while driving a white Honda ADV 150 motorcycle believed to have been used in the crime.
Police also recovered a bladed weapon allegedly used in killing the victim and the clothes worn by the suspect during the incident.
Tarlac police chief Police Col. Harry R. Lorenzo III said the arrest reflects their commitment to delivering swift justice and maintaining peace and order in the community.
The suspect faces appropriate criminal charges.
