Moroccan man robbed in Quezon City; 2 suspects nabbed

Two men were arrested after allegedly robbing a 26-year-old Moroccan national of two mobile phones along White Plains Avenue near Corinthians Gate 3 in Barangay Ugong Norte, Quezon City, at 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 19.
The victim lost an iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Samsung Galaxy A16. CCTV footage later helped him identify one of the suspects, leading to follow‑up operations by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit and Eastwood Police Station.
Alias “Har,” 28, of Sta. Ana, Manila, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. on July 19.
During questioning, he allegedly pointed police to his accomplice, alias “Mig,” 40, of Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City, who was nabbed at 2:07 a.m. on July 20.
Investigators said the stolen phones had already been sold to a man known as alias “Bato.”
The victim later positively identified Har and Mig at the Eastwood Police Station.
Police records showed Mig had prior arrests for theft in July 2023, July 2024, and April 2025, along with cases involving falsification, use of fictitious names, motor vehicle offenses, and traffic violations. Har had also been arrested for theft in November 2016.
Both suspects now face charges of robbery with intimidation of persons under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
