- Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu laughed off a fan-fueled "feud" after a FAMAS speech omission, proving the only ones fighting were the fans.
A fan's attempt to turn Vice Ganda's FAMAS acceptance speech into a full-blown "It's Showtime" feud ended almost as soon as it began.
Vice, who won Best Host for Entertainment at the inaugural FAMAS Broadcast Arts Awards, thanked several of his "It's Showtime" co-hosts during his acceptance speech but accidentally left out Kim Chiu's name.
Vice quickly addressed it on Tuesday's episode of "It's Showtime."
"Kim Chiu, congratulations to us! Nakalimutan ko banggitin yung pangalan mo kahapon. Pasensya na po. 16 po kasi yung host. Wala akong prompter."
Instead of fueling the chatter, Kim played along.
"Sanay na ako hindi nababanggit. Di ba nga nung nakaraan din."
Vice responded with another joke: "Di nababanggit pero pinapasalamatan ng personal."
While the pair laughed it off, some fans continued to criticize Vice on X, with one even calling him "plastik," prompting the comedian to fire back with posts calling out the "toxicity of these fantards" and later writing, "Grabe the kacheapan of these fans!"
Kim, however, was quick to defend her supporters.
Vice issued a different take:
"Sa aking mga LITTLE PONIES, hindi sapat at katanggap-tanggap na dahilan na mahal nyo ko para maging masama kyo sa iba.
"Ipinagpapasalamat ko ang suporta nyo but I will not enable your toxic behavior just because I seek ur support.
"I love you, my mature and thinking Little Ponies!"
But he was quick to end the episode on a lighter note.
So, is he and Kim on the warpath?
