Teacher among 3 wounded in Imus shooting

CAVITE – Three individuals, including a teacher who was passing by, were injured in a shooting incident in Barangay Malagasang II-A, Imus City, on Sunday evening, July 19.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A said the incident stemmed from a disagreement between alias Justin, 19, and the suspect, alias Alvin, 27.
During their heated argument, the suspect allegedly drew a gun and fired two shots at Justin but missed. One of the bullets struck a passerby, a teacher identified as alias Jovanni.
Justin’s father, alias Clark, then confronted the suspect, leading to a physical struggle. In the scuffle, the suspect allegedly shot Clark, who, despite being wounded, managed to wrest the firearm away, accidentally hitting the suspect in the process.
Jovanni, Clark, and the suspect -- all suffering gunshot wounds -- were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Responding police officers recovered a .38-caliber revolver at the crime scene.
The suspect is now under hospital arrest and faces frustrated homicide charges.
