Businesses and taxpayers in Makati City will soon enjoy a faster and more convenient way to pay taxes, permits, licenses, and other local government fees with the rollout of the Link.BizPortal, LANDBANK’s digital payment platform designed to simplify transactions, improve compliance, and support more efficient revenue collection.
The initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz and Makati City Mayor Maria Lourdes Nancy S. Binay-Angeles on 09 July 2026 at the Makati City Hall. They were joined by LANDBANK Executive Vice President Marilou L. Villafranca, Makati City Accountant William B. Dayrit, along with members of the City Council and other officials from both institutions.
Through the portal, taxpayers can securely settle government obligations using debit and credit cards, online banking, fund transfers, e-wallets, and other digital payment channels, reducing the need for over-the-counter transactions. Under the agreement, LANDBANK will serve as the depository and financial settlement bank for Link.BizPortal transactions of the City Government of Makati. The Bank will also provide transaction monitoring, reporting, and technical support to ensure a smooth transition.
“At LANDBANK, we champion digitalization as a catalyst for progressive governance and deeper financial inclusion. We proudly stand with local governments as a dedicated development partner, delivering innovative fintech solutions that simplify transactions and elevate the everyday service experience for Filipinos,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Ortiz.
Aligning with this vision for modern public service, Makati Mayor Binay emphasized how the digital shift directly serves her constituents.
“This initiative reflects our shared commitment to digital governance and to making government services more citizen-centered. With LANDBANK's expertise in digital financial solutions, we are creating a system that will benefit not only today's users but also future generations of Makatizens,” said Makati Mayor Binay.
Beyond digital collections, LANDBANK is also exploring expanded collaboration with the City Government of Makati through grassroots financial inclusion initiatives. This includes the proposed rollout of LANDBANK PISO Accounts for senior citizens, students, and persons with disabilities to facilitate the efficient, direct delivery of local government benefits.
As one of the country’s leading financial and commercial centers, Makati’s adoption of the Link.BizPortal strengthens LANDBANK’s ongoing commitment to advancing secure, transparent, and citizen-centered digital transformation across the public sector.
