Twenty suspected pushers were hauled off to jail as Bulacan police seized P329,000 worth of shabu in a string of buy busts that swept across the province on July 18 and 19.
In Baliwag City, police led by Lt. Col. Eisbon L. Llamasares collared a suspect in Barangay Bagong Nayon at 12:35 a.m. on July 19. Operatives confiscated five sachets of shabu weighing about 10 grams, with an estimated street value of P68,000, along with marked money.
Separate operations in Meycauayan, San Jose del Monte, Hagonoy, Pandi, Calumpit, Paombong, Malolos, and Doña Remedios Trinidad yielded 19 more arrests.
Police recovered 45 sachets of shabu worth P261,120 and additional buy bust money.
All suspects are now in custody and face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Col. Jay B. Baybayan, acting provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said the operations were part of intensified efforts to curb illegal drugs and maintain public safety in the province.
