MG presented two new electric concept vehicles at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom, offering an early look at the brand’s future design and product direction.
The MG Go! and MG Cyber Concept explore two different parts of the electric vehicle market. The Go! takes the form of a compact hatchback intended for younger and urban motorists, while the Cyber Concept previews a larger, performance-oriented electric SUV.
MG Go!
Designed by the MG London Design Centre, the MG Go! is expected to lead to a production model in 2027. The compact hatchback incorporates references to earlier MG models, most notably the Metro, though these have been adapted to suit a modern electric vehicle.
MG has yet to release technical specifications for the concept, including its electric motor output, battery capacity, driving range, dimensions, or charging capability. Its appearance at Goodwood instead focused on the car’s exterior design and its role as a preview of a future entry-level electric model.
MG Cyber Concept
The MG Cyber Concept follows a different approach. Presented as a high-performance electric SUV, the concept expands the Cyber name beyond the Cyberster electric roadster.
MG says the SUV draws from the company’s sporting background while offering the space and practicality expected from a larger vehicle. It also gives an indication of how the brand could apply the styling and performance character of the Cyberster to other body styles.
The company has not confirmed whether the Cyber Concept will enter production. Powertrain specifications, battery details, performance figures, and a possible launch schedule also remain unannounced.
The two concepts reflect MG’s effort to build a wider electric range rather than concentrate solely on conventional hatchbacks and crossovers. The GO! is positioned toward accessible urban transport, while the Cyber Concept explores the upper end of the range with a stronger focus on performance and design.

MG also brought six electrified production vehicles to Goodwood. These included the MGS9 PHEV, MG4 EV Urban, MG HS Plug-in Hybrid, MG ZS Hybrid+, MG IM5, and MG Cyberster.
The display covered several forms of electrification, ranging from conventional hybrids and plug-in hybrids to fully electric vehicles. It also showed the growing breadth of MG’s international lineup, which now includes family crossovers, compact hatchbacks, sedans, and an electric sports car.
Some of these models are already represented in the Philippine market. MG Motor Philippines has introduced the MG G50 PHEV, MG HS PHEV, MG RX9 PHEV, and MG4 Urban EV as part of its expanding electrified vehicle range.
MG has not announced whether either Goodwood concept is being considered for the Philippines. The GO!’s planned transition into a production model, however, could eventually give the company another compact electric vehicle positioned alongside or below the MG4.
The Cyber Concept remains a design study for now, though it points to a possible expansion of MG’s performance electric range into the SUV market. Further information on both vehicles is expected as their respective development programs progress.
