Manila DRRM leads CPR training at National Museum with partner hospitals
The Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD) expressed gratitude to its partner institutions and participants following the successful conduct of National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Day held at the National Museum of the Philippines.
The event focused on strengthening public awareness and emergency response capabilities through training in CPR and other life-saving techniques.
Medical professionals from Manila Doctors Hospital, University of the Philippines–Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), and Ospital ng Maynila Lacson-Villegas Medical Center led a series of lectures and hands-on demonstrations.
Organizers said the activity equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills that can be applied during emergencies.
The program gathered barangay officials and personnel, representatives from various government agencies, members of the Manila Police District (MPD), and other participants.
The MCDRRMD highlighted the importance of collaboration among government agencies, medical institutions, and communities in improving disaster preparedness.
Officials added that increasing the number of individuals trained in CPR and basic life support can significantly improve survival chances in critical situations.
