6 motorcycle riders caught drag racing in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) has disqualified six motorcycle riders from obtaining a driver’s license after they were caught drag racing in Barangay Granada here on Friday, July 17.
Seven unregistered motorcycles were confiscated.
Seven Temporary Operator’s Permits (TOPs) were issued for violations of Republic Act (RA) 4136, also known as the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
LTO-NIR Director Jeck Conlu said the operation reinforces their commitment to safer roads.
Last April, 20 riders here were also issued citation tickets for violating RA 4136 and 13 motorcycles were impounded due to documentation issues.
