Freelance model, drug convict nabbed in Taguig, Muntinlupa

The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested an American freelance model who is facing a frustrated homicide case in Taguig City.
The suspect, identified only as alias Taj, 32, was arrested in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig, by operatives from the SPD’s District Mobile Force Battalion in coordination with the District Special Operations Unit and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Makati police.
Taj, listed by the police as an “other wanted person” (OWP), was apprehended based on a warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P72,000 issued by Presiding Judge Ma. Caridad SJ Villamor Yee of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 237.
The suspect remained silent during the arrest and is now detained at the Makati police custodial facility.
Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa police arrested a man convicted of drug offenses in Barangay Tunasan.
The man, identified as alias Jayson, 38, a resident of Barangay Putatan, was listed as the police station’s No. 10 most wanted person for July.
Jayson was convicted by the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204 in two cases for violating Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara issued the warrants of arrest for service of sentence against him.
He is under temporary custody at the Muntinlupa police custodial facility.
Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, SPD director, commended the Muntinlupa police for the arrest.
