ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Ateneo de Zamboanga University conducted an active shooter drill at the Fr. William H. Kreutz campus here on Saturday, July 18.
The activity, the first-ever held in a school in Zamboanga City, simulated an active shooter situation, enabling participants to practice established lockdown procedures and emergency response protocols.
Participants proceeded to the school multi-purpose hall after the drill for the post-activity evaluation where personnel from the security sector conducted an after-action review to assess the effectiveness of the response.
Among the participating units were the Zamboanga City Police Office, PNP-Regional Civil Security Unit 9, Bureau of Fire Protection, Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company, and the Anti-Kidnapping Group.
