Princess Aliyah says love can wait as she turns 18

Sparkle artist Princess Aliyah is set for another milestone as she turns 18 on Aug. 7. 
Beginning her career as singer, Princess Aliyah made her mark via "Pinoy Big Brother," where she was hailed as the Kapuso Fourth Big Placer.
During the media conference for her upcoming 18th birthday celebration, Princess Aliyah shared how she hopes fans will perceive her as she enters adulthood.
"Ngayon naman po na mag-18 ako,  mas gusto ko po ipakita yung side na napakita ko kahit papaano sa 'PBB,' yung actually very independent, yung very strong, yung strong woman na. Pero, at the same time, siyempre, gusto mo pa rin mag-keep yung image ko na sweet. Ayaw ko lang po kasi parang mag-cage sa isang personality," she said.
In terms of her acting career, Princess Aliyah kept it simple saying she just wants to explore more genres. 
"Gusto mo po mag-try at maging kontrabida, or kaya po action or thriller,  ganun po. Hopefully po, when I turn 18, mas ma-explore po po yung craft ko," She added.

Being that her name is Princess, we asked her in jest if she is willing to leave showbiz if she ever found her "prince charming."
She smiled and answered, "Well, siyempre po for now, hindi ko po masasabi talaga kung ano gagawin ko. Pero kasi po talaga, ang promise ko po sa sarili ko, and, of course, sa parents ko din po, is wala po talagang lalaki na makakasira sa career na pinaghirapan ko pong buo. And kasama yung mga tao, tumulong po sa akin doon. So sana po yung magiging future partner ko, supportive po siya sa career ko." 
Despite her busy acting and singing career, Princess Aliyah still continues with her studies, dreaming to become a licensed pilot someday. 
"Senior high pa lang po ako, sa AMA. Actually gusto ko po talaga mag-piloto. Siguro aeronautical engineering, kasi yung sa side po ng dad ko mga engineers po talaga sila, at sa mom's side ko naman po mga doctor," she explained.
Her debut comes at an exciting time. She currently stars in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "You're My Favorite Song." She has also just recently launched her debut single "Amba" under GMV Studios.
