Paulo Avelino, Jisoo, NCT's Jaemin top voting at 2026 Seoul Int'l Drama Awards

Filipino actor Paulo Avelino, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and NCT’s Jaemin emerged as the top vote-getters in their respective categories in the popularity voting for the 2026 Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA).

Global fan voting for the SDA 2026 Outstanding Asian Star and Outstanding Korean Drama OST categories was held through the Idol Champ app from June 15 to July 14. Fans from Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, China and Singapore participated in the voting.

The winners from each participating country will be invited to attend the Seoul International Drama Awards ceremony on Oct. 8 in Seoul.

In the Philippines, Avelino won the Outstanding Asian Star vote with 43.63 percent.

Kim Chiu, who won the category in 2024, placed second with 31.06 percent, followed by Anne Curtis (23.72 percent), Sofia "Fyang" Smith (0.8 percent) and Kaila Estrada (0.27 percent). Daniel Padilla won the award last year.

In the Outstanding Korean Drama OST category, "Close to Me," performed by RIIZE member Anton for the drama Yumi's Cells 3, ranked first with 47.58 percent of the votes.

In Korea, NCT's Jaemin topped the Outstanding Asian Star Popularity Award (male) with 36.49 percent. Kim Seon-ho came in second with 34.94 percent, followed by Park Ji-hoon (11.76 percent), Cha Eun-woo (8.18 percent), and NCT's Jeno (2.14 percent).

For the female category, BLACKPINK's Jisoo successfully defended her title, winning the Outstanding Asian Star-Korea Popularity Award for the second straight year with 43.09 percent of the votes.

Kim Hye-yoon placed second with 29.19 percent, followed by Park Eun-bin (23.54 percent), Kim Sejeong (1.55 percent), and Yoona (0.63 percent).

In Thailand, Rebecca Patricia Armstrong topped the Outstanding Asian Star voting with 50.66 percent. Win Metawin finished second with 11.8 percent, followed by Film Rachanun Mahawan (11.14 percent), Sea Tawinan Anukoolprasert (6.01 percent), and Namtan Tipnaree Weerawatnodom (4.23 percent).

Meanwhile, Gladys Bay won the Singapore voting with 42.67 percent, Jin Akanishi topped Japan with 60.43 percent, and Yang Yang led the China voting with 48.18 percent.
