In order for art to be appreciated, it must be brought out to where everyone can truly enjoy it. These days, most people tend to flock toward the malls. It's only fitting then that such a space can be used to show just how creative we can be.

Working with Art Loung Manila, SM Aura's "Art in Aura: An Art Market of Next Gen Visionaries," showcases the works of over 60 Filipino artists. It contains a mix of both established and emerging artists. When walking around the exhibit, you'll find works by artistic icons like Larry Alcala, Federico Alcuaz, Abdulmari Imao, Raul Lebajo, and Juvenal Sansó. Other featured artists include Helena Alegre, Tess Aligaen, Kempis Ang, Iris Babao-Uy, Naomi Banal, Edison Barlan, Anne Barles, Gerrico Blanco, Richard Buxani, Jef Cablog, Isaiah Cacnio, Inday Cadapan, Seth Corda, Gabo Corpuz, Jonathan Dangue, Anna De Leon, Mario De Rivera, Irene Gail Delos Santos, Bullet Dematera, Rainer Duhaylungsod, Megs Empinado, Jhon Lhoyd Escueta, Knoi Esmane, Faico, Ricky Francisco, guineagenie, Toym Imao, Binong Javier, Kapitan, Carlo Magno, Francis Nacion, Niake Meow, Studio.Micki, Connie Obemio, Roel Obemio, Agi Pagkatipunan, Herbert Pajarito, Badz Palacio, Nikko Palaez, Anthony Palo, Summer Pasana, Glenn Perez, Raisehell, Kankan Ramos, Eli Rollete, Jinggoy Salcedo, Angelica So, Fred Tan, CJ Tañedo, JP Tiangco, Migs Villanueva, Melissa Villaseñor, Meneline Wong M.D., Chewy Yap, Melissa Yueng-Yap, Rudy Yu, and 027050.

It's truly a marvel to look over the different styles and approaches Filipino artists bring to the table. You start to form an appreciation for the skilled craftsmanship of old and new generations. Looking through all the vibrant colors and different shapes brought to life is a treat. With all the works on display, you're sure to find at least one work that will resonate with you as you go about your day. 
Another thing mallgoers can look out for is Art Lounge Manila's collaboration with Gaming Library for a Modern Art Demo Board Game Day on July 18 and 19. People can try their hand at playing the "Modern Art: Philippine Edition" board game. It's a thrilling auction-style game that centers around local museums and artists. You play as art bidders trying to create the best lineup of artists for your museum. 
"Art in Aura: An Art Market of Next Gen Visionaries" runs until July 21, 2026, at SM Aura in Taguig City.
