NAVI PH reaches MWI semis in Esports World Cup

The Filipinas were dominant from start to finish to topple the Malaysian squad and set up a rematch against Galaxy Phoenix of Cambodia — the only team that put a blemish on NAVI PH’s almost perfect run during the group stage.

Loureain “Rianne” Alcaraz dazzled in the series opener, scoring a triple kill to allow NAVI PH to secure the Lord objective and take control of Game 1. It was all NAVI from there as the Filipinas led by as many as 8.6k in golds before finally taking the opposing team’s base at the 24th minute.

Rianne finished with a 3-1-8 line in NAVI’s 18-7 domination of Team Rey in the opener.

Sensing blood in the water after the dominant first game, the Filipinas left nothing to chance and went on to pounce on their Malaysian counterparts in Game 2.

NAVI PH rampaged through the map, securing all the major objectives and completing valuable pick-offs to take an 8-1 kill lead in just 11 minutes.

The Malaysian defense eventually collapsed not too long after with Rianne once again leading the way with a perfect 5-0-6 KDA on the gold lane Harith pick.

With the win, NAVI PH is now 3-1 in the tournament. The Filipinas actually had to overcome a first game hiccup when it lost to Galaxy Phoenix, 0-2 in their very first game. The team then recovered in the lower bracket of Group B, defeating Falcon Daisies, 2-1 and Gen. G Esports, 2-0 to arrange the quarterfinals clash against Team Rey.
