Junior Altas flaunt new faces to boost NCAA Season 102 bid

University of Perpetual is leaving no stone unturned as it parades seven new recruits to bolster its redemption bid in the NCAA Season 102 juniors basketball tournament in September.
Following their quarterfinal exit last season, the Juniors Altas went out this time with overseas talents by adding 6-foot-5 Max Maurice and 6-foot-3 Daniel Okeowo, both from the United Kingdom, to improve their plays on both ends. Also from Europe is Adrian Faustino who had resided in Austria.
Rising stars from the provinces were inserted in the lineup as well in Sizco Koquid, Keith Sabuco, Brian Orca Jr., and Kevin Castro.
Head coach Joph Cleopas stressed that the addition of the cagers is part of their rebuilding process for the upcoming NCAA tournament. This, after core players in Jim Corpuz, Kurt Velasquez, and Renzo Zanoria climbed to the Perpetual’s seniors pool.
The Las Piñas-based squad, which concluded its elimination run with a 6-7 card last year, tries to reclaim the glory it earned nearly two years ago when Lebron Jhames Daep led the Juniors Altas against the Letran Squires.
In Season 101, Perpetual bowed out early after yielding to eventual champion Letran in their do-or-die quarters collision.
