Police arrested two men and confiscated P2.37 million worth of kush, or high-grade marijuana, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa, on July 16.
Personnel from the Muntinlupa Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the sting along 42 East Service Road in the barangay at about 10:25 p.m.
An undercover officer acted as a poseur-buyer and purchased kush from the suspects, leading to their arrest.
The suspects were identified as alias Pagong, 29, a resident of Alabang, and alias Bebe Dok, 21, a resident of San Pedro, Laguna. Both were classified as high-value individuals.
Seized during the operation were four vacuum-sealed plastic bags containing 1,583 grams of kush, three marked P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money, and a car used by the suspects during the transaction.
The suspects will face complaints for violating Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco lauded the Muntinlupa police for the successful operation.
