CEBU CITY – Suspected shabu valued at over P1 million was seized from a 27-year-old drug pusher in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Jefferson, a welder, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bool on Tuesday night, July 14, said Joel Plaza, regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7).
The operation was jointly conducted by PDEA-Bohol, Tagbilaran City Police Station, and Bohol Maritime Police.
Seized from the suspect were four packs of shabu weighing around 163 grams with an estimated average market value of P1,108,400, Plaza said.
The PDEA-7 said the suspect can dispose of up to one kilogram of shabu a month.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect, the PDEA-7 said.
