Student reported missing after leaving condo for school in Manila

A Grade 11 student was reported missing after leaving her residence in Legarda, Manila, on the morning of July 14 and failing to return home, her family said.

According to her sibling, Stefanie M. Nacorda left their condominium unit at Tennyson Heights on Concepcion Aguila Street at around 7:22 a.m. to go to De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde on Taft Avenue to pick up her grades.

The family said they last spoke to her via phone between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., during which she said she would be home by 6 p.m.

However, she failed to return at the expected time and has since been unreachable.
By evening, concern deepened after repeated calls to her mobile phone went unanswered, with recordings indicating the number was unavailable.
By 8 p.m., her sibling and friends went to the Taft area to search for her but were unable to find her.

The incident was reported to their barangay later that night, and her details and photograph were submitted.

On the morning of July 15, the family formally reported the case to the Manila Police District to initiate a missing person investigation and alert other police stations.

Stefanie was last seen wearing a black or blue T-shirt, black baggy pants, and a green jacket, and carrying a blue Jansport backpack. She was reportedly booked on a ride-hailing service before heading to school.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to immediately contact local police or reach out to the family.

As of this writing, efforts to locate the missing student are ongoing.
