A 17-year-old boy was caught with P102,000 worth of shabu in a police buy-bust operation in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City, on Wednesday, July 15.
The Station Drug Enforcement Unit said a poseur-buyer transacted with the suspect before officers moved in.
Seized during the operation were three plastic sachets containing 15 grams of shabu, a marked P500 bill, and three pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
The child in conflict with the law was placed under police protective custody and later referred to social welfare authorities in line with Republic Act No. 9344, or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco said the police force is committed to shielding minors from drug activities while sustaining operations against those who exploit them and engage in the illegal drug trade.
