NCT 127 renews contracts with SM Entertainment ahead of album, tour

K-pop powerhouse NCT 127 will remain with SM Entertainment after the agency announced that all seven active members have renewed their contracts, reaffirming the group's long-term partnership ahead of a new album and world tour.

In a statement released Tuesday, SM Entertainment said Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo and Haechan all signed new contracts based on the strong teamwork they have built over the years and their trust in the company.

"We would like to inform you that all members—Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan—have renewed their contracts as NCT 127, based on the solid teamwork they have built over the years and the deep trust they have established with our company," SM Entertainment said.

"Since their debut on July 7, 2016, NCT 127 has established itself as a representative K-pop artist over the past 10 years... We will continue to fully support NCT 127's activities and remain a reliable partner," the agency added.

Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service.

The contract renewals come as NCT 127 prepares to release its seventh full-length album on Aug. 24 before kicking off its "Neo City – The Redline" tour with a three-night concert at Seoul's KSPO Dome from Sept. 18 to 20.

The announcement also follows recent changes within the wider NCT lineup, including Winwin's departure from both SM Entertainment and the NCT brand.
