South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun is back in the Philippines for a new project, marking one of his first public activities since returning to work after an extended hiatus.
Photos of the "My Love from the Star" and "Moon Embracing the Sun" actor in the country surfaced online after Ben Chan, founder of the Philippine clothing brand Bench, shared images on Instagram.
"Reunited with your @benchtm family, @soohyun_k216," Chan wrote in the caption.
Kim is in the Philippines for a new advertising campaign for the local apparel company.
The project comes as Kim gradually resumes entertainment activities after stepping away from the spotlight for more than a year following the controversy surrounding the late actress Kim Sae-ron and allegations made by YouTuber Kim Se-ui.
South Korean authorities have since cleared Kim of allegations that he dated Kim Sae-ron while she was a minor.
Kim, one of South Korea's biggest television stars, has maintained a strong following in the Philippines through hit dramas such as "My Love from the Star," "Moon Embracing the Sun," "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," and, most recently, "Queen of Tears."
