San Fernando, Pampanga
Changan Philippines is preparing to expand its dealer network with five upcoming locations in Central Luzon and Mindanao.
Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan vehicles in the country, formalized the appointments during a dealer signing ceremony held in June at the brand’s flagship dealership along C5 in Pasig City.
The new locations will serve Davao, General Santos, Butuan, Surigao, and San Fernando in Pampanga. The expansion will give the brand additional coverage in major provincial markets, particularly across Mindanao, where four of the five new dealerships will be located.
Three dealer groups to operate new branches
Angcore Motors Inc. will operate the upcoming Changan Davao and Changan General Santos dealerships. The company was represented during the signing by Tobi Ang, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Dealer Principal.
Global Cars Inc., represented by Dealer Principal, Christian Osin, will handle the Changan Butuan and Changan Surigao branches.
The San Fernando, Pampanga dealership will be operated by Gozun Cars, led by Managing Director and Dealer Principal, Matthew Gozun.
The five locations will join Changan’s existing network of 16 dealerships nationwide. They are expected to improve access to vehicle sales and after-sales services for customers outside Metro Manila and other areas already covered by the brand.
Sales managers undergo network training
Changan Philippines also held a training program for its sales managers at the C5 dealership in Pasig.
The program covered leadership, key performance indicators, business planning, team development, inventory control, and dealership operations. Participants also worked on strategies intended to improve the customer experience and support growth across the dealer network.
The distributor said the training was designed to develop sales teams that can provide consistent customer service as Changan opens more locations around the country.
The dealership appointments and sales manager training form part of Changan Philippines’ preparations for a larger national retail and service network.
