Man back in jail shortly after release over Antipolo cable theft

A man who had reportedly just been released from jail was arrested again after he allegedly stole electrical wires from streetlights in Antipolo City.
Antipolo police identified the suspect only as "Amor," who was arrested for allegedly stealing 38 meters of electrical wires from streetlights along Ortigas Avenue Extension in Barangay Beverly Hills.
Police said the suspect was apprehended during an operation conducted by the Antipolo police and Barangay Beverly Hills officials.
Recovered from the suspect were 38 meters of electrical wires, a screwdriver, a cutter, and a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the alleged theft.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 7832, or the Anti-Electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994.
Police urged residents to immediately report suspicious activities in their communities to help prevent similar incidents.
