The Pasig City government said around 132 families, or 512 individuals, were initially affected by the fire that broke out in a residential area in Barangay Palatiw, Pasig City on Tuesday night, July 14.

The city government said the figure is only an initial count as of 11 p.m. on Tuesday, with validation still ongoing to determine the total number of affected families.
The Pasig City DRRMO said the fire started along Balsancat Street at 6:04 p.m. and was raised to the third alarm at 6:23 p.m.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze at 8:23 p.m.
Two evacuation centers are currently open for the affected families: the Palatiw Evacuation Center at Catalina Covered Court and the Pinagbuhatan Evacuation Center along Balsancat Street.
Personnel from the barangay and concerned city offices immediately attended to the families at the evacuation centers, where food was also provided.
Authorities are still investigating the origin of the fire.
