Duterte's defense team appoints additional spokesman

The defense team of Vice President Sara Duterte has appointed an additional spokesman for her ongoing impeachment trial.
Lawyer Justin Nicol Gular, a senior associate at Fortun Narvasa and Salazar, has been designated as deputy spokesman in an announcement made by defense team spokesman and lawyer Michael Poa on Tuesday, July 14.
Gular is also part of Duterte’s 16-man defense team.
Poa has been the mouthpiece for Duterte’s defense team since before the impeachment trial began.
The appointment of a new spokesman will help the defense team continue its media engagement as Poa’s schedule becomes busier.
“In case hindi ako available, at least someone will help the defense in terms of having to get the message across,” Poa added.
