Police arrested a country head of a major digital platform for estafa and bouncing check violations on July 13.
The suspect was identified as alias "Michelle," 34, who was listed as the No. 7 top most wanted person of the Muntinlupa police for July.
She was arrested by elements of the Southern Police District’s District Mobile Force Battalion at a condominium unit in Barangay San Antonio, Makati.
The police served her multiple warrants of arrest for estafa and violation of the bouncing checks law.
The operation was implemented based on cases for three counts of bouncing checks Batas Pambansa Bilang 22 and estafa under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrants were issued by Judge Marcelino Rodriguez Gonzales II of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 42, Judge Peter Filip Sia Abelita of the , Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 132, and Judge Rigina Ramos-Chavez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 274, carrying a total recommended bail of P450,000.
She is detained at the Quezon City Police Station Custodial Facility.
