President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s net satisfaction rating improved in June, recovering from its record-low in the previous quarter, according to the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results released on Monday, July 13.
The Second Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey, conducted from June 20 to 29, found that 38 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the President's performance, 45 percent were dissatisfied, and 17 percent were undecided.
This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of -7, eight points higher than the -15 recorded in March, which was President Marcos’ personal record-low.
The SWS terminology for net satisfaction ratings is as follows: +70 and above, “excellent”; +50 to +69, “very good”; +30 to +49, “good”; +10 to +29, “moderate”; +9 to -9, “neutral”; -10 to -29, “poor”; -30 to -49, “bad”; -50 to -69, “very bad”;-70 and below, “execrable.”
“Compared to March 2026, gross satisfaction with President Marcos rose from 33 percent, gross undecided hardly moved from 18 percent, and gross dissatisfaction fell from 49 percent,” SWS said.
Ratings improve across most areas
The survey showed that the President's net satisfaction rating improved in all major areas of the country.
Balance Luzon posted the highest rating at +11, followed by the Visayas at -3, Metro Manila -24, and Mindanao at -35.
“Compared to March 2026, net satisfaction with President Marcos rose in all areas: it rose by nine points from neutral +2 in Balance Luzon, by 12 points from poor -15 in the Visayas, by 7 points from bad -31 in Metro Manila, and by 5 points from bad -40 in Mindanao,” SWS said.
SWS also recorded improved ratings in both rural and urban areas.
Net satisfaction in rural areas rose from -9 to -2, while urban areas improved from -20 to -12.
Among women, the President's net satisfaction rating increased from -15 to -7. Among men, it also rose from -16 to -7.
By age group, the largest gains were recorded among respondents aged 25 to 34, whose rating improved by 19 points from -40 to -21, and those aged 35 to 44, where it rose by 19 points from -22 to -3.
SWS said the President also registered higher net satisfaction across most educational groups, with the biggest increase among respondents who did not finish elementary school, whose rating rose by 20 points from -3 to +17.
The only decline was among those with some senior high school education, where the rating slipped from -19 to -25.
Most Filipinos say Marcos is serving interests of the rich
The survey also asked respondents whether they believed President Marcos was serving the interests of the rich, the middle class, or the poor.
Since multiple answers were allowed, 43 percent said he was serving the interests of the rich, 35 percent said the poor, and 25 percent said the middle class.
The share of respondents who said the President was serving the interests of the rich was nearly unchanged from 42 percent in November 2025.
Meanwhile, those who said he was serving the interests of the poor declined from 37 percent, while those who identified the middle class fell from 31 percent.
“The President's net satisfaction rating was good +42 among those who said he is serving the interests of the poor, compared to the moderate +13 among those who said he is serving the interests of the middle class, and bad -35 among those who said he is serving the interests of the rich,” SWS said.
The Second Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide, including 300 respondents each from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
