Bulacan suspends face-to-face classes due to bad weather

Local governments in Bulacan have suspended face-to-face classes on Monday, July 13, as heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) continue to affect the province.
Municipalities implementing Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) for all levels include Bulakan, Obando, Paombong, Marilao, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Pandi, and Bustos. Santa Maria suspended classes from daycare to senior high school in both public and private schools, while Norzagaray and Malolos City also declared no in-person classes across all levels.
The City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM) likewise shifted to ADM for all schools.
In Hagonoy, Mayor Rosario “Charo” Sy-Alvarado Mendoza, together with district supervisors and school leaders, extended ADM from July 13 to 17 due to flooding caused by high tide.
The suspension covers all public and private schools to safeguard students.
In Calumpit, Mayor Lem Faustino announced the implementation of the Flexible Learning Program (FLP) under the Ease-In protocol.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) reported expected high tide levels of 4.72 ft on July 13, 4.95 ft on July 14, and 4.99 ft on July 15, prompting the suspension of in-person classes.
