On Thursday, 2 July 2026, PHILHOST (Philippine Hospitality on Sustainable Tourism) gathered approximately 180 key hospitality stakeholders at Ascott BGC for an intensive day of dialogue centered on sustainable best practices, navigating industry challenges, and identifying emerging opportunities within the hospitality and tourism sector.
Distinct as the premier event in the Philippines bridging international sustainability expertise with local market intelligence, PHILHOST 2026 presented 6 specialized morning workshops, 4 panel discussions, and 2 featured speakers addressing critical pillars such as the circular economy, green team mobilization, innovative technology solutions, and sustainable development.
Embodying its core theme, “Sustainability in Focus: Purpose. Impact. Action.”, the forum transcended theoretical discussion to catalyze tangible industry evolution. It functioned as a strategic platform for professionals to exchange proven methodologies, foster collaborative solutions, and ensure an inclusive journey toward sustainability for all stakeholders.

In a keynote address, Department of Tourism Undersecretary Capt. Stanley K. Ng highlighted the critical role of domestic travel in stimulating economic vitality and supporting the continued expansion of the hospitality landscape.
Representing the industry’s next generation, Monica Lorenzo of Torre Lorenzo Development Corp., Samantha Manigsaca of AppleOne Group, and Giles Benedicto alongside Adeline Phua, Managing lyf Partner, collectively underscored the necessity of community synergy and active participation in defining a sustainable path forward.
Dr. Moeko Saito-Jensen of the UNDP’s Green LGU Project provided insights on advancing green circular tourism at the local government level, advocating for a transition from linear to circular economic models for the benefit of all participants.
A central feature of the forum was the CEO Panel, featuring Cyndy Tan Jarabata, former ADB Ambassador Chantale Wong, Cleo Albiso of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, and Tomas Agustin Lorenzo of Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation.
