Janine Gutierrez speaks on De Leon family rift: 'Gusto ko lang po ibigay yung suporta ko sa mommy ko'

Janine Gutierrez has finally broken her silence on the highly publicized rift among the children of the late National Artist Nora Aunor, speaking publicly about the issue for the first time.
As the eldest daughter of Lotlot de Leon, who has been at the center of the family dispute involving her brother Ian de Leon, the actress made it clear that her loyalty and concern remain firmly with her mother.

"Siyempre, gusto ko lang po ibigay yung suporta ko sa mommy ko. Kasi, siya talaga yung inspirasyon ko bilang isang ate, isang panganay," she said, adding, "So, palagi ko lang po pinaaalala na nadito lang po ako sa likod niya." 

While many are hoping the de Leon siblings—including Lotlot, Matet, and Ian—would eventually reconcile, Janine said her prayers remain focused on what is best for her mother.

"Whatever po is best for my mom, yun po lang talaga yung ipagpi-pray ko. Gusto ko lang naman na maging happy siya. Ayoko na magkasakit siya dahil sa stres or anything. So, si Mama po talaga yung number one (concern ko). Pero ipinagdadasal ko rin na maging okay ang lahat so, hopefully." 

Obviously, Janine, the eldest daughter of Lotlot and former husband Ramon Christopher "Monching" Gutierrez, doesn't want to comment directly on the family dispute itself.

If anything, she made clear that just like everybody else, she wants it resolved as well.
