Core memories come alive at Hong Kong Disneyland's Pixar Summer Fest
Celebrate the magic through character encounters, themed attractions, exclusive treats, and unforgettable entertainment
Disney and Pixar have long held a special place in childhood memories across generations. Their stories became part of growing up, bringing laughter to breakfast mornings, quiet afternoons, and moments of carefree wonder. That warmth and nostalgia linger well into adulthood, making the chance to step into these beloved worlds even more meaningful.

At Hong Kong Disneyland, that imagination comes to life as kids and the young at heart gather for the first-ever Pixar Summer Fest, running until Aug. 31, 2026.
The journey begins even before entering the park with a stay at Disney Explorers Lodge, where the spirit of exploration sets the tone for the trip. Inspired by the motto “ad explorare et somniare” (to explore and dream), the resort features themed rooms inspired by Asia, Oceania, South America, and Africa, alongside lush gardens and artifacts from around the world. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse's explorer-inspired residence adds to the experience, while themed activities, dining, and Pixar-inspired surprises make the stay the perfect prelude before the adventure continues at Hong Kong Disneyland.
First-time visitors should stop by City Hall, just to the left of the park entrance, to pick up a complimentary First Visit pin. Those celebrating a birthday can also collect a Birthday pin. Main Street, USA is lined with shops and eateries, offering everything from Mickey ears and themed outfits to charms and souvenirs for those who want to dress the part before arriving at the Castle of Magical Dreams, inspired by the stories of 13 Disney Princesses and Queens.
The heart of Pixar Summer Fest unfolds across the park, where characters that have shaped generations of childhoods step off the screen and into everyday moments. The lively Friendtastic! Parade fills the streets with music and colorful floats, while the returning Pixar Water Play Street Party turns the summer heat into part of the fun with splash-filled dance numbers. Trust us, bring a raincoat. Don't say you weren't warned.
At the Animation Academy, the new Disney Friends Draw and Meet experience lets guests sketch their favorite “Toy Story” characters before heading next door to meet them in person.
There is always another familiar face waiting around the corner. Guests may spot the stars of “Inside Out,” “The Incredibles,” and “Up” around Tomorrowland Station, reunite with Woody, Buzz, and the “Toy Story” gang in Toy Story Land and the Opera House, or catch Mei from “Turning Red,” Miguel from “Coco,” and Merida from “Brave” making surprise appearances throughout the park. Just behind the Castle of Magical Dreams, guests can also step into a fairytale moment by meeting one of Disney's beloved princesses. Between encounters, Pixar-inspired treats, from Mei's Turning Red Corn Dog and Remy's Ratatouille Chicken Salad Wrap to the Up! Egg Puff and character-themed frozen desserts, keep the celebration going.
As guests explore the park, there are attractions for every kind of adventurer. Thrill seekers can race through Hyperspace Mountain, speed across Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, or brave the towering half-pipe of RC Racer. Those looking for immersive experiences can soar over the city in Iron Man Experience, journey through Arendelle in Frozen Ever After, or sail around the world aboard “It's a Small World."
Between attractions, guests can collect stamps in the special Pixar edition Magic Passport to earn a Mystery Medallion, browse exclusive Pixar merchandise, or join the Pixar Dine and Play Party. Themed dining, limited-edition souvenirs, and interactive experiences offer even more ways to enjoy Pixar Summer Fest before ending the day with the park's nighttime entertainment.
As evening falls, the all-new eight-minute Pixar Pals Spectacular kicks off the night's entertainment before the beloved “Momentous” nighttime show. The pre-show celebrates friendship with soaring drones, shimmering fountains, castle projections, larger-than-life inflatables, and scenes from beloved Pixar films across the Castle of Magical Dreams and Main Street, USA.
It leads into “Momentous,” where classic Disney songs, including "You'll Be in My Heart" from “Tarzan” and "A Whole New World" from “Aladdin,” become even more memorable alongside fireworks, projections, lasers, and dancing fountains, bringing the day at Hong Kong Disneyland to a fitting close.
Some places live up to the magic people imagine, and Hong Kong Disneyland is one of them. From Pixar Summer Fest and immersive attractions to unforgettable nighttime shows, every corner offers something to discover, no matter the age.
Whether it's a first visit or a return trip, it's a destination worth adding to the bucket list. And by the end of the day, it's easy to believe that dreams really do come true.
