Two most wanted men, one facing multiple rape charges in Quezon and another accused of homicide in Pateros, were arrested in separate police operations on Thursday, July 9, authorities said.
In Muntinlupa, personnel from Sub station 6 (Barangay Poblacion) and the 1st Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company apprehended alias Miko, 31, at Jade Heights Victoria Homes in Barangay Tunasan.
He was listed among Quezon Province’s most wanted for multiple counts of rape and statutory rape.
Judge Rodolfo Quitolbo Jr. of the Infanta, Quezon Regional Trial Court Branch 65 issued one warrant of arrest for rape with a recommended bail of P200,000 and three non bailable warrants for statutory rape in February and April this year.
The suspect is being held at the Muntinlupa City Police Station’s custodial facility for processing.
In Pateros, police arrested alias Roswell, 31, tagged as the station’s top most wanted person for July, in Barangay Sto. Rosario Silangan for homicide.
Judge Joy Casihan Dumlao of the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 262 issued the warrant of arrest on July 8 with a recommended bail of P120,000.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco commended the successful operations, saying the arrests of two most wanted men underscore the police’s intensified campaign against fugitives.
