Property giant Megaworld has officially started construction of the 313-room Paragua Sands Hotel, one of two hotels being developed within the 462-hectare Paragua Coastown township in San Vicente, Palawan.
Rising 10 stories, the new hotel will feature a variety of room layouts, including Presidential Suites, complemented by a range of premium amenities. Its setting places guests amid San Vicente’s lush mountain scenery and near the famed Long Beach, regarded as the longest stretch of white-sand beach in the Philippines and the second longest in Southeast Asia.
Paragua Sands Hotel will join the 306-room Savoy Hotel Palawan, bringing Megaworld’s total hotel room inventory within Paragua Coastown to more than 600 rooms. With the two properties, the company is set to become the biggest hotel operator in the area.
The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Darwin Villestas, head of Sales and Marketing of Megaworld Palawan, and Manuel Mendoza, chairman of Monocrete Construction Philippines.
They were joined by Monocrete representatives Christopher Reeve Fajardo, project manager, and Christopher Guerzon, project director, as well as Megaworld officers Christopher Dagdagan, area head of Construction Management, and Joseph Manaligod, project head for Paragua Coastown.
