Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person can make, often requiring years of planning, saving, and comparing different options. Beyond location, design, and price, many buyers also look for benefits that make the purchase more worthwhile. With this in mind, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) has partnered with SMAC, the SM Group's membership and rewards program, to offer eligible homebuyers additional rewards.
Eligible buyers who make qualifying spot cash or spot downpayment transactions for participating developments under SMDC Heights, SMDC Nature, and SMDC Symphony Homes can earn SMAC Points. Depending on the residential brand and payment option, rewards can reach up to 50,000 SMAC Points.
Grace Evangeline M. Sta. Ana, executive vice president and head of Core Operations at SMDC, said the collaboration strengthens the homeownership experience by extending its benefits beyond the property purchase.
“Homeownership with SMDC has always been connected to the larger SM ecosystem—from the locations of our communities to the everyday conveniences around them. Our partnership with SMAC makes that connection even more tangible for our buyers. It allows them to enjoy rewards from the same ecosystem that supports their daily life, while they continue building long-term value through their SMDC home. This is a natural extension of our commitment to making homeownership more rewarding from the moment they choose SMDC,” Sta. Ana said.
The initiative builds on the advantages of living in an SMDC community. With many developments located near SM malls, transport hubs, schools, and workplaces, residents already have convenient access to essential services. Through SMAC, eligible buyers can enjoy rewards that further enhance the ownership experience.
Jessica Bianca T. Sy, vice president and head of Design, Innovation, and Strategy at SMDC, said the initiative reflects the company's broader vision of creating communities that support residents beyond the home itself.
“A good home is more than a well-designed space. It’s about creating an environment that supports the way people live every day. By bringing together homeownership and the broader SM ecosystem, we’re able to offer an experience that extends beyond the four walls of a home and adds value to everyday life,” Sy added.
For today's buyers, purchasing a home is about more than securing a place to live. Through its collaboration with SMAC, SMDC adds another benefit to homeownership by giving eligible buyers rewards they can enjoy from the start of their investment.
